Prerequisite Chain for CH E courses
The chain of required chemical engineering courses, shown below, illustrates the prerequisite requirements. The course sequence starts in the spring of the sophomore year with CH E 210 and CH E 220 and requires five semesters to complete.

Effective Fall 2007, MATH 251 becomes a prerequisite or concurrent for CH E 210, and MATH 230 becomes a prerequisite or concurrent for CH E 220. Students are advised to take MATH 251 in their third semester, and MATH 230 in the fourth semester. If MATH 251 is not available at your campus, take MATH 230 in the third semester and MATH 251 in the fourth semester, concurrently with CH E 210.
