Updates to the 2004 Curriculum

Advising News > ChE Curriculum > Other Updates

PHYS 214

You may petition, if you wish, to replace PHYS 214 with a different science course in physics, chemistry or life sciences. Discuss with your advisor courses that would be appropriate for this substitution.

Other Updates

The following changes have been announced previously and are repeated here:

    Design sequence in CH E
  • CH E 401 has been dropped. In its place you should pick a 400-level CH E elective.
  • CH E 470 will be the new permanent design course and will be offered under this number in Spring 2006. The course replaces the old design course that had been offered under the numbers 464 and 465.

Options
The specialized options have been expanded to include a larger pool of elective courses. See your advisor for additional information.

All other requirements remain the same
as in the Programs Guide you received when you were admitted to Penn State. For more information, obtain the most recent CH E Advising Handbook, to become available in August 2005.

If you have questions or unclear as to how you are affected by these changes, please see you advisor immediately.
