Spring 2007

The curriculum described in this guide is the so-called "2005 Curriculum" and applies to students admitted to Penn State in summer 2005 and thereafter. Students admitted before summer 2005 are subject to different graduation requirements. If you were at Penn State before summer 2005 or if you transferred to Penn State and your semester standing in Fall 2005 was sophomore or higher, this Handbook does not apply to you - see your adviser for clarifications.

All CH E courses in the 2005 curriculum have been renumbered but the new numbers may not appear in the books for a while. For a correspondence between the old and new numbers. See the required courses page in the curriculum section.

CH E courses to get new numbers in Sp 2006 (posted 10/06/05)
Effective spring 2006, most CH E course numbers will change. For the most part this is only a change in course number and course title, otherwise the new courses are equivalent to the old ones. To find out what the new numbers are, please see Updates to 2004 Curriculum or ChE Curriculum 2004 p.d.f..

Which Curriculum do I follow? (date posted 10/06/05)
The answer is based on your pool semester:

  • students in the pool of Spring 2006 or earlier,  should follow the Curriculum 2004.
  • students in the pool of Spring 2007 and later should follow Curriculum 2005.
