Leaving Before Completion of a Thesis
Some students may be tempted to leave the department and accept employment before their theses are completely written, typed and printed. If such is the case, the following departmental regulations should be considered:
- A graduate student who has completed all of his/her requirements except thesis submission and defense must register for one credit each semester (or its equivalent) for the second and all succeeding semesters following departure from The Pennsylvania State University Campus.
- A graduate student who leaves the campus before his/her thesis is approved by his/her advisor will be financially responsible for the typing and reproduction of the thesis in accordance with the departmental standards.
